Day two of Brown's training camp is in the books and the Browns are one day closer

to their first full speed practice coming up on Saturday.

July 28, 2022.

Day number two of practice went a little more than an hour as the team moved back outside

with the offense working on one field, the defense working on another.

The team also dawned their helmets for the first time this season and speaking of helmets,

that was arguably the main story of the day.

Beginning this season, the offensive line, defensive line, tight ends, and linebackers

are required to wear what are called guardian caps over their helmets.

The idea is to reduce head impacts and reduce the number of injuries from those impacts.

The league is found that there are a higher incident of those injuries in training camp.

The agreed upon policy between the NFL and NFL PA runs through week two of the preseason,

but not in the preseason games, just the training camp practices.

The other news of the day, not so great.

Wide receiver Anthony Schwartz had to leave the practice field with a trainer.

After suffering a left knee injury, he will be further evaluated,

but it's a setback for the second year wide receiver and a guy that is being counted on in 2022.

And while a lot of the talk today was on the offense's performance against air, by the way,

it's supposed to look good and boy did it.

Today's bites feature the defense for the most part.
