In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire

you in your faith walk, that deepen your understanding of God's Word, and that heightens your

awareness of his very real presence in your life.

scripture.

I believe that God's Word is living and active and powerful, and there's just always something

to gain from reading and reflecting on his truth.

So over the next hour, you'll hear from a number of my

past guests share about their time studying scripture and a passage that they want to share.

First, we'll hear from Pastor Alan Wright. He wrote the book, The Power to Bless,

how to speak life and empower the people you love. It's really been impacting me for a few weeks now from Exodus chapter 23,

where the Lord is promising that he will drive out the enemy, and I'll send hornets before you,

drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, the Hittites from before you. But at verse 29 of Exodus 23,

I will not drive them out from before you in one year

lest the land become desolate

and the wild beasts multiply against you.

Little by little, I will drive them out from before you

until you have increased and possessed the land.
