Cody Bellinger, I was thinking about this last night because Tommy made a great point about Cody with the Mets. You guys' Yankee fans really want him back. And I started to give Cody Bellinger just a lot of thought in general about both teams and where he fits. And the thing I'm intrigued by with the Mets, and you brought this up yesterday, Tommy, and I love it. It's my favorite part of your idea.

Because I don't think he's as good.

He's just not as good.

But Cody Bellinger on the Mets, with Pete Alonzo being re-signed, could fill four different holes.

Hear me out on this. Four different holes.

Number one, he plays center field till Carson Benj is ready. That could be a week. That could be a month. That may be all year. That's number one. Number two, he plays left field and forces Brandon M.O. to DH a lot more than he did last year. That's position number two. Position number three, Cody Bellinger plays a lot of right field and forces Juan Soto to DH a lot more than he did last year.

And then, of course, fourth position is first base to force Pete Alonzo to D.H.

Cody Bellinger could actually make the Mets better at three different positions while improving their

lineup all at the same time. Sometimes he plays left, sometimes he plays center, sometimes he plays

right, sometimes he plays first, and he grades better than all of the guys that he's forcing to

DH. So you're not telling Pete Alonzo,

much to the chagrin of our buddy, Sal Lekata, you're the full-time DH. You're just going to do it more. You're not telling Juan Soto you're the full-time DH. He's just doing it more. You're not telling Brandon Nimmo he's a full-time age. He's just doing it more. So I don't know, was that your vision with Cody Boneser to do that?

Cody Bellinger is more valuable. I'm not trying to make it a Met Yankee thing, but he's more valuable to the Mets as a signing here because he could fill all the holes that you just brought up.
