So Sean Davis, we're going to get into part two of today's show.

And this is going to be the team, the T in our TCF, which is a team topic, a Notre Dame team topic. And today's topic is going to be, we're going to kind of look back on a comment that we had. There were two things that you and I discussed at different times that were going to tell us a lot about

Marcus Freeman's ability as a head coach. And we don't know the answer to either of them fully,

but one of them we had an idea. And there were two things I said is one was how he handled

the quarterback battle was sort of my final kind of BK PTSD thing I had to get rid of

because I thought he was going to go the direction he did.

But I had this fear in the back of my head about, well, this is how it's gone in the past

and is he going to really give those young guys a look?

Well, by the end of the spring stevengelly's

transferring we all know why he transferred it's because he got outplayed and the staff was willing to

allow that to happen so that to a degree has been sort of answered the other thing that we discussed

at the time sean was can can marcus freeman in this the new reality of Notre Dame football under him,

which is now he's the celebrity head coach.

Everybody loves Marcus Freeman now after the season they had.

Everybody, you know, he's this great coach.

He's now top five with most people. All these

different things. Can he stay hungry and can this team stay hungry? Because as you know, Sean,

there's no let's run it back. That's not a real thing. Running it back is not a real thing.

From the standpoint of you don't just do what you did again.

One of two things is going to happen.

One is you start feeling good about yourself.
