I hadn't thought of this, but I think it's an interesting word of caution from a Tigers

reporter, insider.

I don't know if you guys like Cody Stavenhagen or not for the athletic,

but he said something that, admittedly, I didn't think of this,

and it's a very good point.

So shout out to Cody, I guess.

I want to read this to you, but basically he warns that Scott Harris's prospect obsessed mindset

could land Detroit in the same place as this year's Baltimore Orioles, who were shockingly and

excruciatingly bad. Why? They didn't go out and spend on pitching. They didn't go out

and insulate the lineup. They trusted a lot of their super kids and whether it's Jackson

Holiday or Kobe Mayo or any of these other guys. They trusted all the kids. How'd it go? It was a

disaster. That's a great come on.

Well, here's what Staven Hagan said.

Quote, I don't think teams around the league were thrilled at the Tigers,

citing that teams don't like dealing with Scott Harris.

Every year this time of year, I hear Scott Harris is difficult to deal with from a baseball perspective.

The Tigers are a hardline negotiating organization.

I worry relationships are eroding with other clubs when it could hurt the Tigers in future deadlines.
