We talked a lot about the Jets draft earlier.

I wanted to go back and talk about the Giants a little bit more,

as of course they had many top picks.

And we talked about the first rounders, obviously, on, you know,

after we came in on Thursday.

But they seemed to love this corner who I didn't know much about, obviously,

but was reading

about him, Colton Hood, who they ended up getting with the fifth pick in the second round,

and someone that they really believe can be a starter right away. And that's what you want.

When you're picking that high in the second round, you definitely want to get a starter out of

that guy, you would think, especially at a needy position in the secondary for the Giants. Yeah, I mean, I think the Giants and the Jets both

did well trying to fill holes that they've had. And the Giants end up getting, you know,

Arvel Reese's kid hood. And, you know, they're going to get faster. They're going to get bigger.

And this is like all the characteristics of a John Harbaugh, Baltimore Raven team with the guys that he brought in here in free agency. And you know who would have fit this perfectly? It would have been Dexter Lawrence. But, you know, again, the last thing you want is the disgruntled star on your team that wants or thinks that he's worth more money than they were willing to give him. and that's one of the reasons why the Bengals took him off his hand, their hands, because they didn't have to pay him all that much money. And I, I really thought that given that you have a new coach, a new way of doing things. And by the way, it does seem like Joe Shane and he are getting along. Oh, yeah. I mean, they, sure.

So I, there's question always when you have a guy coming in like John Harbaugh,

and you pay him $20 million a year and you give him all the say pretty much in the entire

bill.

And then he brings in Don Aponte, who reports directly to him.

You're wondering what is the future of Joe Shane. But it seemed like in all

situations that they were together, that it's working. Yeah, I'm not worried about them getting along

of just wondering how much power Joe Shane has this year compared to last year. Well, by the way,

Joe Shane is in the last year of his contract. So you also have to take that into account. So does Joe Shane want to stay in this way that things are going to be run or is it going to want to end up going somewhere else or is the pressure just going to be on John Harbaugh to say, you know, thanks for everything you've done here. It was great now. You got us Jackson Dard. You got us Malik neighbors. You're training for Brian Burns. I mean, but it seems like they get along. So now the next question would be, you know, is there a contract extension coming for him? Yeah. Because, you know, he's a lame duck guy right now.
