Obviously, you're not thrilled with giving up the amount of runs you gave up, and the bullpen

wasn't great, but you got the type of offense that if this team's going to make a run,

today's the type of game that you're going to need to have.

You know, small ball, advancing guys, getting hits with runners in scoring position.

Obviously, they did add a couple late home runs, which makes the final tally look a little

bit different than the way the game really played itself out.

And you did something that, let's be honest.

I know the Mets were slight favorites today because historically they're so good an opening day.

You just ran arguably the best pitcher in baseball out without him getting three out.

And to me, that's the takeaway of the game.

You guys were playing against a dominant starting pitcher and he didn't get to the second inning.
