as his camp reportedly rejected the Mets reported offer of three years for somewhere between $68 and $70 million,

including opt-outs.

Now, the Mets were said to have a willingness to go slightly higher on the total amount without deferrals.

But I guess Alonzo's camp has decided they weren't interested in

that they really don't want them seems that way i mean they they have their heart set on a certain

number and they will not pay him and they will not go over that and it's really it's kind of a little

bit disheartening for us met fans i mean i'd love to have seen

him in this lineup to see what it would look like and maybe he would have had a bounce back year but

at the moment it doesn't look like he's going to be here and if he's not here it's you know somewhat

disappointing yeah it it is but it's all because of what happened last year in that season.

He would have gotten more money, maybe an extra year if he had put together one of his regular Pete Alonzo seasons, and he didn't.

And David Stearns, you always talk about ruthless.

David Stearns doesn't matter who you are if you fit the profile of a guy that he doesn't want on the team,
