David Stearns, you know, it was interesting because I was listening to Fleeggs who was talking to Al this morning.

And, you know, he made a point that I hadn't thought about.

Fleegs did about how there is no way that David Stearns, even if this season goes into the toilet completely,

is going to get fired at the end of the year because he had described it and people around the organization

described this thing as a competitive rebuild over the last couple of years.

Oh, a competitive rebuild.

Yeah, but that's his way of like, that's his out, like that's his shield as well.

We knew this was going to happen and we'd spend some money, but we're really rebuilding

the entire organization and the minor

league system and the Dominican, you know, scouting departments and all of these things.

And the, if you remember back prior to David Stern's getting hired and there were certain people

that were turning down the job and saying that Steve Cohen is someone who is going to be

very impulsive and not see a rebuild through and things like that.

If they end up firing David Stearns at the end of the year, then everybody that thought

that was right about that.

And it's going to be very difficult for then to get somebody they really want to come in

and run the organization, much like we talk

about with the Jets getting the guy that they really want because of the history with Woody Johnson

and what people think of him as an owner.

$386 million competitive rebuild.

Yeah.
