It is winter and it is snowing. I need to bring you all the details because this is

truly a frightening storm. I'd say about five inches have fallen so far. Forecasts are that it could

get up to 10 or 12 inches, which for Washington is a crisis because it's very much a southern city when it comes to snow.

You know, shutting down the schools at the first opportunity.

I mean, this looks like a reasonably big storm, but compared to Chicago or Buffalo, you know,

the cities that deal with cold weather and big snowstorms all the time, you know, it's not

just the media that went to the local grocery store and obviously the pre-snow panic buying it set in.

There were like two loaves of bread of a certain kind left.

So everybody's convinced that, you know, they'll be snowed in for days and danger of starving

and must take care of the animals.

So once again, our top story, it is snowing in Washington.

Now, this is a huge storm that has moved from the Midwest

or is moving from the Midwest across the whole East Coast.
