Well, of course, I want to begin this first podcast of 2025 by saying Happy New Year,

but I have to quickly add, it hasn't been a very happy new Year so far for reasons that you all know.

And we'll get to that in just a few seconds.

Nevertheless, it was a holiday break for a lot of people.

And there was some big news beyond the terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas, Brad and Angelina, finalizing their

divorce or finalizing the litigation surrounding their divorce because I guess they've been

divorced for several years. Big financial dispute back and forth between these two

entertainment powerhouses.

And, you know, they were, when they were Brangelina, they ruled a certain corner of the

pop culture universe.

I couldn't help but cringe, and I don't cringe easily, seeing that a whole

bunch of passengers were left stranded by Amtrak at Washington's Union Station through some

kind of massive screw-up. This was the last train of the night.

All these people were trying to go to their destinations outside of D.C.

They were lined up, and the train just took off.

I mean, I had the worst horror experience I've ever had, you may recall, a couple months ago,

and I had to hop on the train and go up to New York, where the train just stopped outside of Newark,
