that way, and I'm not joking. We will get to that, the whole pardon debate, a little later in the podcast.

Lara Trump was on media buzz yesterday, made some news.

Hope you got a chance to see the show, but that segment is online along with others.

She has been publicly almost campaigning, I guess you would say, to be appointed to the vacant Senate seat in Florida, which will become vacant when Marco Rubio becomes Secretary of State.

And rather than just ask about that, figuring I get a sort of a bland answer, I said, is it an advantage having Trump as your last name?

And she said, well, some would say it's an advantage. Some would say it's not an advantage. I think maybe it gives me a slight edge.

Anyway, that was picked up by a number of news outlets. Saturday was Pearl Harbor Day. And whenever that rolls around, I can't help

thinking about my late father because December 7th was his birthday. And there's a story that

goes along with that. He was celebrating his 13th birthday on the actual Pearl Harbor Day, 7-7, 1941,

when the Japanese bombed our fleet in Hawaii.

And what's fascinating is, unlike in today's world of instant communications,

I seem to remember him telling me that

there was some ripples or chatter about an attack, but it wasn't confirmed.

Anyway, it's, you know, it had to be confirmed.

It can only be, the world can only be informed by radio.

Obviously, newspapers,

whatever.
