If he's falling, is he falling into our lap?

Mel Kuiper Mock will go through all of it, but you guys care mostly about the lions.

So we'll start there.

Mel Kuiper has James Pierce, pass rusher out of Tennessee, falling, tumbling to 28 where the lions select him.

John, you and I have not discussed. Pierce, Mel writes about it and says that there are character concerns.

There have been some people who say he's off of boards, uncoachable.

There's a work ethic discussion.

But the production, he was one of the best pass rushers in college football the last couple years.

He's got that bend, that explosiveness.

Something, if you can unlock it, makes

him a dominant edge rusher in the NFL. How do you feel about the Lions taking him?

So numbers tell part of the story. And in 23, he had 10 sacks. Last year, seven and a half sacks led the team. He was first

team all SEC both years. So he's got a knack for getting to the quarterback. And so when I saw

this come out, I spent a little time watching some film on him. And I kind of always approach this as if if I was facing him

how would I block him he's 6.5-245 so he's got decent length in regards to if you if you have

the speed that he has it I think he had the best 40 time of all edge rushers 4-47 I think is what

it was.
