And you may be wondering why today.

He was on the midday show yesterday.

We just got done talking about his place in the latest tier rankings among NFL

quarterbacks.

We want to talk about it today.

We could have picked any day in the summer, especially coming off of last year.

But we want to have that conversation with you guys today.

And John, that conversation is what? I want to know if Lions fans, what type of faith do they have in Jared Gough? Because I know it was shaken last year when they faced the Washington commanders in the postseason. And Jared Gough had four interceptions. It wasn't his best day. It wasn't the offense's best day. There was plenty

other guys that you could blame for that loss. It was a career year for him. And it was on the

heels of the career year until he had last year's year in 24, 23. And he took up to the NFC

championship game. And in that season, there were times where

he had to physically go out there in win games. I always referenced the Tampa game where

all the running backs decided that they were going to get hurt on the same time. And he had to

turn into an elite quarterback for a day to go win a game for the Lions.

He did that.

And then he takes him to the NFC championship game.

And they did not lose that NFC championship game because of the play of Jared Gough.

They should have won it because of the play of Jared Gough.

They didn't.

So he doesn't get a chance to get to the Super Bowl.

And we saw last year, that's the last thing that Lions fans remember.
