it's me jason mackintyre in for Colin Cowherd. He's on vacation, ladies and

gentlemen. Who knows when he'll be back? I'm joined, though, fortunately by Alex Curry. We are here

to chop it up late August, Alex. What color is that? Is it a lime green? You know what,

J. Mack? Sometimes I just like to feel happy with what I'm wearing, and this is full, like, happy as my vibe. See, so were you. Look at you. Yeah, this is a little flashy, you know, trying to match the tone of the show. I saw you with to Disneyland this week. How was that? Dude, okay, I gotta say this was like a spoiled experience.

It was my first time doing like the VIP tour. Oh no, Alex. No, you're not starting. It wasn't me.

No, no, no. I went with a friend. But like you get walked to the front of every single line. So in

eight hours, we did every single ride at California Adventure and Disneyland in 95 degree.

You're basically like coward. One of these bougie coastal elites. I'm just working with all rich and famous people. Oh boy. Now I'm jealous. It was fun. I do want to do that one day. All right. So we got a lot to talk about today. Some great guests. But I do want to start with a guy near and dear to my heart and that's Lamar Jackson.

Folks, I love me some Lamar Jackson. If you guys ever play fantasy, you grab Lamar, it's lights out. You're going to win the season. But I want to start with Lamar because there's something that happened to him this week. And I'm a problem solver. I like to help. It's kind of a downfall of mine. You know, the wife will be like,

man, I can't believe this happened,

and I want to solve the problem, but you're not supposed to try to solve it, right? You're supposed to just listen. But I have some advice for Lamar. You can't fix what you can't face. And you guys know the old media model, right? It used to be that after the game, the players and the coaches, they go to the podium and they meet the media.

And then the media goes back and assembles their story, puts it in the newspaper. They're the gatekeepers, okay? The internet and social media kind of changed that, right? So now the players, they can go to the podium and kind of bob and weave and duck the tough questions and ham and hall. Then they go to their social media and they can totally change the narrative. They can shape it however they want. Right. So, I don't know, you have another stinky playoff game, right? As Lamar Jackson did back in January. And you can just wash that away. Yeah, whatever. Hey, here I am working out.

I lost 15 pounds in the offseason, you know, and I'm doing all this fun stuff. But the reality is Lamar Jackson's got a big problem on his hands, and he's got to face that. And the new model of, hey, I can just control the narrative on social media, or I can go on my buddies podcast, a former player, and they're going to toss me a bunch of softballs.
