This is the Saturday show.

On Friday I talked about Josh Shapiro vis-à-vis his Judaism.

Would that allow him to be nominated by Kamala Harris to be vice president on her ticket.

Another contender, which we could know as early as soon, maybe you heard it now, but another prominent

contender is Minnesota Governor Tim

Walls. Before Walls was governor of the Gopher State he was the

representative in Congress for the first district. Before that he was in the army, he was a teacher, and

was in between those two gigs, teacher army, and serving in Congress that I

interviewed him. He was newly elected. I was doing some reports from Washington for NPR on the eve of the 2007

swearing in of that class of representatives and I got to talk to walls. I liked him by the way,

you're not going to hear most of our getting you know you

chit chat, this was all business talking about the surge in the Iraq war, but I very much liked him.

We talked about my parents being teachers, him being a teacher, if citizens had a shot to get elected to Congress, which was his example.
