In the wake of that there were many reports citing statistics about how frequent barn fires are in America.

And that was the focus of a spiel earlier this week.

So many, many animal deaths.

Oh wait, it's almost all chickens.

But don't say that. Put up a graph.

Talk about millions of animals dead.

We evoke the four-legged kind.

But in fact it is the two-legged, beaked kind.

We don't speak of chickens as beaked enough.

And not that there's nothing sad about a dead chicken.
