The year is 2013, 14 and 15, and everyone's talking about an ice queen, a crazy man in the desert, and a little boy who grows up to be an older boy.

It's the best of the decade, part two!

Hey everybody, welcome to Unspooled!

0:35.0

I'm Amy Nicholson.

0:36.0

And I am Paul Sheer, and this is normally the podcast where we are looking at AFI's top 100 great films of all time,

0:43.0

but we're doing a very special mini series right now. We're working at the best films of the decade.

0:48.0

We're kind of saluting all the movies that we enjoyed over the last ten years.

0:52.0

Exactly, we're talking about our favorite one or two films from each year, maybe the year in general, as a trend,

0:57.0

1:03.0

Exactly, and I think what's been really fun about revisiting this first section of years is going back and looking at these movies that were so important at the time,

1:13.0

but you kind of forget about it, because there's so much content out there.

1:17.0

I mean, we gotta get our baby Yodazan, how can we go back and watch a social network?

1:21.0

Do we have to get baby Yodazan?

1:23.0

Yes, Amy, he's called the child now too.

1:25.0

I know what called them baby Yodazan. Are they gonna trademark that? Is nobody gonna refer to their child anymore as their child?

1:30.0

You know what? Because Disney owns it.

1:32.0

I feel like you're coming at this from a place of negativity and not from a place that baby Yoda is bringing us all together.

1:39.0

No, I'm totally out of the aisle.

1:41.0

What side of the aisle you're on? People love baby Yoda.

1:43.0

You're right. I'm definitely not coming at this from the position of, oh wow, that is genius that a show created the memes first,

1:48.0

and then figured out how an episode could work around it.

1:50.0

Oh man, Amy, I do wanna talk to you though before we get into the, like, the main part of our episode this week about some of the things going on in film right now.
