We had a flurry of trades leading up to the deadline.

In fact, the number crunchers said there were total, going back to mid-July, there were

43 transactions of human beings moving to other cities to play baseball in a different

town. 43 trades through the non-waiver trade deadline. The trades don't stop. The trades

will continue, but it's much more difficult to get anyone worth their salt. Trade it. But there are ways to do it, but the bulk of the transactions

have now come to an end. And there were some players that you've heard of. Brian Dozier went

from the Twins to the Dodgers. More on that later. Jonathan's scope will now play for the brew crew as he goes from the woful Orioles

who decided to hit the acid wash button and blow everything up.

The pirates got Chris Archer from the Rays.

Clearly, they are not only going for it, they know that Chris Archer,

compared to other starting pitchers,

is going to work at a manageable amount of money.

I say manageable, it's still like over $10 million a year,

but for the pirates, that's pretty good.
