There was a fair amount of commotion in the basketball world.

Kevin Durant, the toast of the NBA, right?

The Independence Day Eve, and he ends up essentially bending over, if you will, considering what he could have gotten from the Golden State Warriors.

And this is the story we want to talk about.

I don't know if you've heard all the details on this, but we learned that Durant has agreed to a two-year deal worth $53 million.

Now, it sounds like Bizarro world to say that that in any way is offensive.

But Durant, who is technically, he hasn't signed this contract yet, he's an unrestricted free agent.

He will have a player option for the second year.

So it's essentially a one-year contract and then the process or process will

repeat yet again. And they'll do the dance, the mating dance over and one more time. One more

time. So Kevin Durant will be taking a pretty sizable pay cut from what he could have made. In fact, approximately $9.5 million.

Turning down an extra $9.5 million, electing to not get the max contract, which he could have

gotten for $34 plus million per year, which is a wonderful amount of money.

So let's talk about this.

Now, the NBA basketball fanboys in the media, and there are many of them that bow down to

these NBA players.

They are deities.

They are gods.

And these basketball media types are celebrating Kevin Durant as some kind of heroic move by Durant.
