So a wild story here involving one of the more famous people in American sport over the last 20 years,

the Red Sox David Ortiz,

Big Poppy, who was shot on Sunday night in the Dominican Republic. I don't know if you've been

listening here, you've been paying attention, but it's a

crazy tale how this all has

been shown on the social media.

It's played out in real time here.

So David Ortiz, 43 years old, the initial report said it was part of a robbery.

That turned out not to be the case.

He was hanging out at a restaurant slash nightclub in Santo Domingo in the Dominican.

Never been there.

Never been.

Probably won't be going there.

But he's hanging out there in the Dominican.

And a gunman comes in on the back of a motorcycle, jumps off, bang, into David Ortiz.
