If you thought that Jerry Jones was in the clear with NFL hierarchy, you appear to be wrong.

Now, this is where it gets good, right?

Because depending on who you believe, there's more to the story here.

There were whispers.

There were rumors.

There were five sources, five sources that claimed the gauntlet was coming down.

If you've not been paying attention, maybe you were living a life, you were sleeping.

You were doing things other than pay attention to the sporting world.

But the whispers were out there that the punishment was coming down.

Now, the initial report indicated that Commissioner Roger Gendell, vindictive Roger Gaddell,

was planning to fine Jerry Jones millions of dollars for conduct detrimental

to the NFL, protecting the shield of football, right?

Remember that whole deal?

Protecting the integrity of the shield.

Well, later on, that report was debunked from the New York Times or at least amended,

amended by NFL spin doctors trying to put this in a positive light.

And instead, the story that's being spoon-fed to you and to me as well is that Roger Goodell

is actually just asking for a, quote, reimbursement of costs incurred by the teams,

meaning legal fees.
