President Biden made a historic nomination last week, naming Judge Katanji Brown Jackson

to the U.S. Supreme Court.

If confirmed, she'll become the first African American woman to serve there.

Well, I've done 479 episodes of the Axe Files and enjoyed none more than my conversation

with another trailblazer, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who's remarkable rise from the tenements

of the South Bronx to become the first Hispanic woman on the Supreme Court is an amazingly

compelling story.

Given the recent nomination of Judge Jackson, I felt it timely to repost my conversation

today with the inspiring Justice Sotomayor.

It's always wonderful to see you, David.

I was telling you before that I found your book, your biography, your memoir, absolutely

riveting and honest and powerful.

And now you've written two more books, Derivative of it for young people.

I want to talk to you about that.

I can't, we're in this room, this conference room at the Supreme Court, surrounded by portraits

of the chiefs who have presided over the court.

And I just wanted to spend a couple of minutes on the moment that you think the court is
