We lost an American original the other day and I lost a friend.

Bill Walton was more than one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

He was an all-world human being with a huge heart and infectious enthusiasm for life.

He lived through intolerable pain and yet as an announcer managed to lift our burdens and make a smile

and he was the same way with everyone he met I'm so grateful to have known him so what

I want to do today is rerun a podcast that I did with him several years ago.

I warn you, it was over the phone and controlling any kind of conversation with Bill Walton over the phone can be at times a hill too high to climb,

but I enjoyed it nonetheless and I want to play it now in remembrance of the great Bill Walton. Bill Walton.

Have you been out to vote? I'm getting ready to vote but I'm doing

this interview first so that I can find the inspiration so that I can see the light so that I can step

forward, be a proud American and finally try to make it to the

seven foot barrier. I've always been 6-11 or at least since I was 15 years old and

now because we get this opportunity I am a true believer on the spirit road and it is such

an honor and privilege for me not only to get to go vote today and exercise the greatest right the greatest

power that we have but to be on this show with my hero David Axelrod who is

the combination of so many of the people in my life.

I don't know if I can.
