Summary

This is one of my favorite episodes because Erin and I get to interview our husbands. Being made in the image of God as male and female is a good thing. It is not an accident that we are created to be a man or a woman. When God made us male and female, he said it was very good. We were created not to compete or be opposed to each other, but to work together in the cosmic task God has invited us intoto care for His creation and cause it to flourish. Join us as we wrestle through the idea of difference and design with our amazing and funny husbands.

Erin and her husband, Brett, run Maven which "exists to help the next generation know truth, pursue goodness, and create beauty, all for the cause of Christ." Check out more about Maven here: https://maventruth.com/

As Christians, we're called to speak the truth in love. This is especially important in the age of social media, where popular lies circulate every day through our phones, appealing slogans like, you are enough. Put yourself first, or it's all about love. Welcome to the last episode of our summer series. And today is one of my favorite. I feel like I say that

1:09.3

every time, but this really is one of my favorite because

1:11.6

we get to sit down with our husbands during this one. So Aaron's husband, Brett, and my

1:17.7

husband, John, and we just talk about, we just have a conversation about what does it mean to be

1:23.1

made in the image of God as male and female? How do we interact in healthy ways? And it is true that God

1:31.6

made us to work together, of course in marriage, but not only in marriage. He designed us to have

1:37.7

kingdom-building friendships. And so what does it look like when we are walking out our design?

1:43.3

How is that helping each other? So I'm excited that

1:46.9

you guys get to listen to this. Also, it is just super fun because our husbands are very sarcastic and

1:52.1

hilarious, although Aaron and I still claim that we are the funnier of the pair. So I guess

1:57.9

you guys can decide that along the way as you listen, but I still am going to stick by that.

2:03.4

We're the funny ones.

2:04.4

They just think they're funny.

2:05.9

I'm just kidding.

2:06.4

They are pretty funny.
