College football playoff will be expanding.

They've decided on a 12-team format.

The 11 board members approve it.

They say, as soon as 2024, no later than 2026. And of course,

the rankings of the teams will be determined by the selection committee. That's not going to

change much. The four highest ranked conference champions are the one through four seats. Those

teams get a buy,

which is interesting because the power five, potentially by 2024, will be the power three.

Because the pack 12 is going to be a shell of itself. The big 12 is going to be a shell of itself.

So more than likely, you'll have the SEC champion, the Big Ten champion, the ACC champion,

and somebody else will be the four seat.

Yeah, let's acknowledge, so getting into the playoff will be the six highest ranked

conference champions and six at large teams.

But as you mentioned, the four highest conference champions are those one through four

seeds that get buys.

And then five through 12, not necessarily in the order of conference champions, it's going to go

by the college draw role playoff rankings.

I think the interesting thing is this, and this is pretty telling.

The conferences that were holding things up, the objections, the conferences that said,

I'm not crazy about this.
