I'm here with Robin in,

we're talking about everything rational and irrational.

But I want to, you know, your day job is a stand-up comic.

And I never really went through the slog.

I never really, you know, came out of score or college,

went, right, I'm going to be a stand-up comedian.

I'm going to, you know, do open-mic spot,

make my way to Sheffield Hitching for no money.

I never did that.

I was already a little bit famous when I did my first gig.

I think, and my first Edinburgh show, which you were there,

I think it was between episode five and six of the office first series.

We still didn't sell it out.

So I was from Rockflux, it was about 120 ceter.

And you came round to the flat that I was saying to actually watch the final episode of the office.

You know, that excitement of being somebody who's created something and going,

even though you can watch it on tape as it would have been then.

Do you know why I watched it go out though?

I was terrified the BBC were going to make a mistake because I'd done a bit of telly before that.
