Your May and Brady comparison and the poll results. But you listen to Breslo there, and Tom, our producer, he's skeptical, he's a little angry, he's a little frustrated to reiterate his lead. He wanted more than this. He wanted the polar bear. A lot of people were led down that path of Pete Alonzo. He's in Baltimore. Toronto has beefed up. They have added some things. Yankees haven't done much, right? What have the Yankees done?

So it looks like they're losing ground by the day.

Contreras, you're right, is a good hitter, and they're better with him than without him. But what's next? Are they going to salvage this thing? How do you see this playing out? You still have to fill a position, if nothing else. And I know that you have Roman Gonzalez. He can play second. I know you have Marcel O'Meyer, but the whole thing was you're beefing up that middle of the order through getting one of those positions.

And I said this, I'm not going to buy into like, oh, my goodness, they're not going to do anything.

It's far too early.

If you look at the top 50 free agents in baseball right now, about half of them are signed.

There's still plenty of guys, and that's not even talking about who you could trade for.

So there's still time. But the problem I have with Red Sox is that you have to show that you can win the battles, this sort of battle that they're facing right now.

I don't think they want to trade any more of these guys. I think they, in their world, I think they do want to

get a free agent. I do think that their plan A probably is Alex Bregman. The problem is, is that

the way that they've approached these sort of free agencies before, it hasn't been, we're going to

do what is necessary to sign the guy. We're going to do what, we're just going to offer it to the level that we think he's worth it. And that's what scares me when it comes to the Bregman thing. Like what are they offering Bregman? What's your hunch? Oh, I don't, I mean, he could be offering him four years when somebody's offered him five years. When somebody's offered him six years last year, you had a team offering him six

years, and he took three years because they gave him the opt-outs. It was basically one year for

40. Right. So they play, there is, there is some credit that goes to playing the market correctly.

The problem is when it comes to the guys that the three guys that have been brought up,

Bregman, Catelle Marte, which would be a trade, and Bo Bichette, you cannot play those markets.
