Since we're talking Pacers Knicks and we're talking Indy 500 and the confluence thereof,

I always go back to because it was pretty fun in 1995 when Davy Hamilton was qualifying and you hear this massive roar of the crowd.

And Paul Page is like, Davy Hamilton's qualifying and, you know,

you can hear the crowd and how enthusiastic they are.

And then he's like, actually, I think that may be because the Pacers just beat the New York Knicks and the NBA playoffs.

And that was the roar of the crowd.

I've always wondered if Davy actually knew that the crowd was cheering for the Pacers as, I hate to say as opposed to Davy.

But Davy Hamilton, who of course works as the raced strategist for the IndyCar Radio Network,

but he is putting that hat aside for this weekend as he is going to be

the race strategist for Jack Harvey, who will be starting in the Indianapolis 500-mile race.

Let me begin with this.

Do you remember that 1995 qualifying run where everybody was cheering and he thought it was for you

and then you found out it was for the Pacers?

Well, you know, the good thing is I didn't hear it.

I'm on the track, but I guess it was an erupt.

And by the way, I got to bit of it was my rookie year and uh we we had a wheel break early in the

week and i broke my ankle and hemelgarn and actually chip ganassi gave me that car well his

partner jim hayho at the time gave me another car to go try so last second you know we're

into the day we're going out in lane last and actually bump an emerson fit a paltzy out of the race. So my first lap by, I guess the crowd went crazy, but you're right.
