0:22.9

Tony, last night I thought a game where Benedict Matherin continued to show that, you know,

0:29.8

he is obviously a special player and a guy that has a unique ability to score the basketball.

0:35.0

I still wonder and maintain.

0:37.5

Is Benedict Matherin a guy that is going to be that kind of a player for the Pacers

0:41.9

beyond this season?

0:44.6

That's the question.

0:45.9

And they can't even answer it right now, right?

0:48.3

0:52.8

Like all the questions we talked about when it comes to his fit and how he'll be

0:57.4

used for the Pacers next year and when they're presumably running and gunning again,

1:08.8

Go cook, go be your defender, go draw foul, go scores some points.

Like, it didn't feel, I didn't, there was no stretch of the game where Ben Matherin was just, like, in takeover mode and had 10 points in 45 seconds or something. and he still finished with 24 and had the biggest defensive play of the game and a win. So that like last night's game is the type of game. I think that both parties will hope to see more of where he still leads the team in scoring and has an excellent night, but also does a bunch of other things the team is really proud of. Like after the game, Rick Carlisle obviously talked about the chase down, stopped or whatever it was. I don't know if he actually blocked it, but also mentioned that during the game, he said to Mather and hey, like, you're not defending well enough. He did do this and that better, and he thought he did, right? That's the kind of stuff that will matter for him beyond scoring 24 points and will be valuable to the Pacers
