In talking about whether or not the Pacers have lost ground in the east, James, by no stretch

of the imagination, am I pretending that this guy is like the end-all be-all player?

But it is very easy to forget that when assessing Indiana and, and granted, this is another

curveball that we don't know how it works out. But you forget that a guy who

is capable of having games where he leads them in scoring and was a starter slash first guy

off the bench score for them, certainly an integral part of what they were doing over the course

of the majority of the season, wasn't even with them in the postseason in Benedict Matherin.

And so that's the one aspect that when you look at it and you go, well, these other

teams that were contending in the East are either A getting healthy or B, adding pieces,

you forget that to an extent so too is Indiana in that group because you have young players.

We still don't know what Jaris Walker is.

Ben Shepard is going to get, you know, obviously his minutes are probably going to be limited with Matherin back into the mix.

But at least you know that he has experience as opposed to a second year guy that's getting his first real run,

etc.

So you have to look at that from Indiana's perspective.

But in terms of the others, Philly, Milwaukee obviously now assuming that they get healthy.

New York, even though they just lost one of their key pieces in the postseason in

Hartnstein, now going to Oklahoma City.

A lot going on in the east.
