Our next guest on the program, who is a regular guest on the program, and having nothing to do with his appearances on this program, was just named for the 28th time, the Indiana Sportscaster of the year by the National Sports Media Association.

That would be the 32nd time amongst two different organizations that he has been awarded as such.

That means that he is batting over 500 over the course of his career in the state of Indiana and taking home those awards.

Don Fisher joins us now, who just my understanding has left Menards for buying a shed to have all of the awards in the backyard.

Don, here's the thing.

And that answer,

that answer, quite frankly, I believe, is a huge part of probably why you are a multiple-time award winner.

Because I think that when you do broadcasting for a living, they're naturally, and believe me, you know, I love me some me, right?

There's a part of the ego that goes into it. But I think the truly great broadcasters are those that, you know, I love me some me, right? There's a part of the ego that goes into it,

but I think the truly great broadcasters are those that simply see themselves as a conduit of

what's happening as opposed to making themselves part of that story itself. And that's probably

that amongst with the talent is a big part of, I think, why you continue to win such awards.

Well, I can tell you this.

I've been blessed my whole life to be able to do what I wanted to do, which was become a play-by-play guy, and I'm getting to do that.
