on the show. So we got the in-season tournament kicking off tonight, huh, Pat? What do the players

sound like as far as this thing, this new idea in the NBA this season?

You know what? It's been interesting because the takeaways from the players, at least so

far, albeit having not played in any games yet, but the takeaways so far have been those of

genuine interest and intrigue. You know, I think a lot of people wonder when you see the

contracts that these guys are making these days if the money pool is an incentive

or not, and even not being asked about it, a couple of players.

Buddy Heel brought it up the other day, talked about the pot being a significant incentive.

And so, you know, it's something new. And I think the NBA has always

kind of been on the forefront of ingenuity and trying to come up with new and fresh ideas.

And we'll find out along with all of you how this thing goes. But yes, first one is up here

tonight. And one thing that I do think is significant that I really like about what the NBA is doing with this is some people might not know the WNBA has had a version of this for the past few years. And I also do play by play for the fever. And overall, it's gone over pretty well. I think one of the challenges with the WNBA's version is people don't

always know, okay, when is this game also in their verbiage a commissioners cup game or an

in season tournament game in the NBA? And one thing that I think the NBA had done that is

very smart is these courts make it extremely obvious when these games are. So if you haven't
