Summary

Welcome to Part 2 of our “Best Of” episode! Notice the “quotes” here; it’s not remotely possible to pick favorites amongst favorites. "Best Of" is just easier than typing, “a-sampling-of-some-of-my-beloved-booky-conversations-of-many-such-favorite-convos” on an album cover. (Did that even make sense?) Back in August of last year, when I put together Part 1 of this show, I couldn’t foresee the celeb authors who would soon join me and my guest co-hosts on air. Tom Hanks. Maria Shriver. Van Jon...

This is the Beautiful Writers podcast, and you've just landed on part two of our best of episode.

0:10.4

I'm Linda Sievertson, and about nine months ago I put together our very first best of compilation

0:15.9

thinking that I would soon create part two where I could get to many of the amazing guests and snippets

0:21.7

I didn't have time for in part one.

0:24.3

And then Tom Hanks happened and Maria Shriver and Van Jones and Gabby Bernstein and Dean Coons and more.

0:30.8

I only do this show you guys once a month.

0:33.1

That doesn't sound like much, right?

0:35.0

In fact, as far as I can tell all of the other literature podcasts

0:38.9

in the top 100 on iTunes, there are all weekly shows. So I don't know if I'm just slow or

0:44.9

if I radically overprepared, but I can promise you I can't do this show any faster. Not to

0:50.9

0:57.3

and I've learned it's way easier to get into flow where magic lives when you are not pushing

1:03.1

your body and brain to their physical limits. That said, whenever I'm tempted to think it's just

1:09.5

once a month, Linda, I take heart in the concept

1:12.3

that people tend to overestimate what they can do in a year and underestimate what they can do in 10

1:18.3

years that's comforting right because these growing pages of transcripts from the show can feel

1:25.4

sometimes like I don't know like I'm at the post office

1:28.3

where the mail never stops arriving. I look at my transcript folder with its hundreds of pages

1:33.9

of wisdom from these celebrity writers and I think, dang, I have never been so relieved to be

1:40.3

writing a book. Because at least with the beautiful writer's book, there will be plenty of

1:45.2

room to include everyone. I can already see it's going to have to be a series, though, since

1:50.2

every month there's a new show. In that vein, I've decided this morning that very soon I'm going to
