We're in the zone here and we're officially done with the first week of the NFL.

Two Monday night football games last night to crown the NFL week to finish off everything.

And we got a nice win for Sam Bradford and the Vikings and the Broncos held on to beat

the chargers thanks to a blocked field goal at the end of that game.

So what do we think of everything that went down? Probably the number one story of the honestly

of Monday night football was the cameras catching Sean Payton and Adrian Peterson in midst

of a midst that he did exchange and we have audio from that. Now I would say in general before we

play that in general, there's no value for running back over the age of 30 in the NFL.

And as good of shape as Adrian Peterson is in and as dominant as he was at different times of

his career, if he still had anything left in the gas tank, then the Minnesota Vikings would have

kept him. So the fact that he is at a new team is indicative of the fact that there's not much

left there. And it's not an indictment of Adrian Peterson. The number of running backs who have

been stellar after the age of 30 is almost a zero list of zero. And again, it's not because those

guys are not trying hard. It's not because those guys don't believe and have the requisite skill set

in terms of knowing what to do and where to be and everything else. It's just because

the brutal hits on the body tally up and there isn't much left. I believe I'm correct in this.

Priest Holmes is the most successful running back ever after the age of 30. And if you recall

with Priest Holmes, he didn't play very much in his 20s. So he hadn't taken hardly any hits.

And so as a result, he still had some gas left in his tank when he got to 30 years old and older.

Nowadays, it's virtually impossible to find a running back 30 or over who has anything left.

And Adrian Peterson believed that he did and he was upset at the way he was being used. And so
