Last night made the decision to go to the Anaheim Ducks against the Nashville Predators.

It was a quiet day in sports, no NBA playoff games, and I've watched every NBA playoff game,

and I've watched a lot of the Preds games, and there is no dispute at all,

that the NHL playoffs are infinitely better than the NBA playoffs.

I don't know how many of you watched last night's Ducks Preds game,

but it was better than just about any NBA playoff game that has happened all season long.

In fact, I'm pretty confident that it was, and I'm pretty confident that other than maybe game 6

of Wizard Celtics, there hasn't even been a game that was close to as good as this.

Now I get it, I never played hockey, I've only had skates on my legs three or four times,

probably in my life, so it's hard for me to appreciate overall the intricacies of the sport.

I don't understand all of the substitution patterns, I don't understand all of the

machinations behind what attacking styles you're deploying. I don't even understand all the rules

being applied consistently and evenly, but just in terms of sheer unadulterated entertainment.

The N at H L playoffs are unbelievable, and I have been making this argument, but I will continue

to make this argument. In order for a sporting event to truly be great, you need to go to it,

not sure what's going to happen. That is, in the NHL playoffs, they have had 26 overtime games

already. On any given night, truly, any team can win, and anything can happen at any moment.

Last night's game, for those of you who did not watch, the Nashville predators were down to

nothing until they scored two goals inside, I think, the final six minutes of the game,

including remarkably, a goal with about 30 seconds to go to put the game into overtime that made

that arena as loud as I have ever heard any sporting arena ever before. I mean, it was extraordinary
