In this episode of Murderish, I'm bringing back an interview I did with Dirty John's first wife, Tanya Bales.

You might remember Tanya from the wildly popular Dirty John podcast, where listeners got to hear recorded phone calls between Tanya and John Mehan.

During the interview, Tanya talks about those phone calls and her motivation behind staying

on the phone with John, even after he threatened her.

This is a fascinating and chilling interview with the woman

who was married to John Mehan before anyone knew that he'd turn out to be an extremely dangerous

person who ultimately lost his life after attacking

terra-newel. I found Tanya to be open, honest, level-headed, and overall a very

strong woman. She definitely has a story to tell,
