Joining us right now, and I sadly have not spoken to him in a long time, but there was a point in my life when we talked once in a while, and I'm a huge fan, but the legendary high school basketball coach and a Hall of Famer, Coach Bob Hurley joins us now.

Coach Craig Carton, Chris McMonagull, thanks for taking a few moments out of your day. How are you?

Good, good. How we do, guys? Great. Thank you for calling in. Maybe not as good as I am right now. No, I mean, you've got to be walking on clouds right now. Everyone knows my feeling about you and your family, and I've said it a million times. I think Danny's the single best coach in all of college basketball, maybe the pros as well.

But you've been a part of a lot of special basketball moments.

Walk me through for you as a fan sitting in the stands with your beautiful wife.

What the final 10 seconds, 20 seconds of yesterday's game was like for you guys.

Literally, even though I coach in high school, I was a varsity coach, I was 45 years,

that whole last 30 seconds, I guess, or 23 seconds was a blur.

And just like Mullen said that he thought he tied the game, I thought he tied the game.

My wife is saying, I mean, no, we won the game.

And I look up at the scoreboard now, and it was three, and it was, you know, we were down two, not down three.

So I can't contribute much here.

It was, you know, plus they wore us out because, you know, at 19, you're trying to believe that you can go back in this thing.

Right.

And then it's 15 at halftime.

Now you have 20 minutes to talk yourself into, oh, yeah, we can do this.

So then you say it's four minutes every TV timeout, let's see.

And then, you know, it just kept being within the realm.

Who knew? Well, it was interesting being within the realm. Who knew?

Well, it was interesting, coach, is that there were a couple times where they got it down to nine. And to give due credit, and the Boozer brothers were great for the majority of the game. You know, they get a big bucket, make it 11, make it back to 12. And they stymied a couple of the runs. but then when you had a couple of those kind of mid-court turnovers and a Yukon converted,

you had an couple of those kind of mid-court turnovers and a Yukon converted, you had an N-1 a couple times, it was like, hey, now we got it to seven. Hey, now we got it to two possessions. Was there ever a point prior to Mullen's shot where you looked at your wife or whomever else you were with and you were like, I think we have a shot to actually do this?

Yeah, my two brothers were with me with their wives.
