Welcome to The Lost Debate, a show for Politically Ecclectics. I'm Robbie Gupta. And I'm Ricky Schlaught.

0:06.0

Well, Ricky, very special episode. Yeah, we just recently celebrated our 100th episode and we figured

0:11.1

with the new year coming up, it would be a great time to go back over some of our favorite segments

0:15.4

from the year and some of our greatest hits at the Lost Debate so far. So let's start with what

0:19.9

was probably the most heated debate we've ever had.

0:22.0

It was actually so heated that some people in my life were like texting me like,

0:24.7

his release of documents and the question of his residence in Russia and all of that. And, you know,

0:49.3

we spent a lot of time listening to and reviewing other people's debates on this subject. And I have to

0:53.6

pat ourselves on the back. I think we stood up really well. Yeah. We went through it all. Edward Snowden made big

1:00.5

news back in the Obama administration by releasing potentially as much as many as 1.7 million files,

1:07.3

at least to journalists back then and at least or upwards of 7,000 of those documents

1:12.9

have been reported on and released by the journalists that he handed those documents over to.

1:18.7

He initially went to Hong Kong and then wound up in Russia where he's been for quite some time.

1:23.7

And we just got some news, Ricky, that he has become a citizen of Russia. And I think this is an

1:29.1

opportunity for us to, you know, dust off some of these stories about Snowden and say, all right,
