July is upon us don't don't don't., I wanted to do a fun episode on July stories,

the good, the bad, and the ugly.

July is a month of transitions for many new interns, new residents, new fellows, new

attendings, maybe even new nurses. So I put a call out on Twitter and had the hard

job of picking six July stories that were called in that you're about to hear.

This month, like any transition, brings up a whole array of emotions, experiences that are

straight up funny to deeply of struggle and of time of reflection.

For some of us in July, there's this transition from a short white coat to a long white coat, Dr. Hadas Rysh in attending at Guvenier Clinic

recalls a pretty humbling story about her first day with that new long white coat.

When I was a sub-interred, my residents always emphasized that it was really important to find time during the day to eat and to drink and to go to the bathroom and that you really

had to make sure that you prioritized yourself in doing these kind of basic acts of self-care. On July 1st I put on my long white coat for the first time and I was really proud of myself. I looked in the mirror with my long white coat and felt really ready for the day.

I went into the hospital. It was really a busy day where I was running around taking care of patients.

But towards the middle of the day,
