Welcome back to another edition of the Irish Breakdown podcast.

It is finally here, everybody, after a long offseason, it is officially game week.

It is Monday, August 25th, and that means we are six days away from Notre Dame kicking

off the 2025 season against the Miami Hurricanes,

the rivalry renewed.

And I was thinking to myself, what better way to kick off game week for Miami than to bring

back someone who was not only an Irish legend, not only an All-American, not only a national champion,

but somebody that was there when this matchup between two schools

became the rivalry that we know it.

And that's why I am joined today by Chris Zorich,

former Notre Dame star, All-American,

second-round draft pick of the Chicago Bears and obviously had a

NFL career to be proud of, but we care about the Notre Dame career and we wanted to have you on

today. Chris, thank you so much for being with us today. Right. Thank you very much. I appreciate it.

And a special shout out to Mike Slade for

organizing this. My man, Mike. Yes, I really appreciate that. And he hit me up about two weeks

ago and he was like, hey, would you like to have Zorch on the show? I was like, I don't know if I

even let him finish the sentence before I started saying yes. So I'd love to have Chris Zords on the show.
