We're talking about the kind of the outlook on Notre Dame's recruiting approach in 2027 and 28.

Now, so far throughout the off season, there's been one consistent that we've talked about.

Yes, we've mentioned North Carolina and recruiting down south in Texas

and Florida and having wins in Pennsylvania, but one consistent has been the Chicago area.

That is a place over the next couple seasons that Notre Dame has to win because it's in their

backyard. And Brian, I know you were doing some research before the show. That is also an area that

historically Notre Dame has also had a lot of success in.

They need to get back to that.

Yeah.

And it's not their fault that the success hasn't been there.

I mean, one of the struggles that Notre Dame has when it comes to recruiting in an elite level is, and thing that makes it harder it's not so much

the whole you can't get guys into school nonsense reggie bush had no problem getting into

Notre Dame reggie Bush just didn't want to come to Notre Dame because he wanted to play for a

winner and at the time Notre Dame was kind of garbage you know but but you know in other, Reggie Bush, like if Reggie Bush has come along now, he'd be a lot more interested in Notre Dame than he was in 2002. You know, same thing with other players. It's, it's, there's been plenty of guys. Christian Wilkins was a guy that did not give Notre Dame the time of day. well you know he went to went to Clemson. He clearly doesn't care about academics. He went to a private school, I believe, in high school. And the guy graduated with two degrees at Clemson, two degrees. So was it an academic issue for him? No, it wasn't. He wanted to play for a championship caliber football team when he was coming out of high school,

Notre Dame wasn't it.

So that's kind of,

that's never been my concern.

The concern,

the challenge is that you just can't drive an hour

in any direction or two hours in any direction

and run into a bunch of dudes.
