All right, Brian, in part two of today's show on the Irish Breakdown podcast, brought to you by Fandul.

We are going to be talking about the ACC.

And we are going to start off by talking about this from a Notre Dame lens.

Before we give you guys the full preview of what we believe the conference is going to shake out to be,

we're going to talk about this from a Notre Dame perspective because the ACC,

unlike the other conferences that we're going to be previewing this week,

in recent years, this is a conference that Notre Dame is extremely familiar with for

obvious reasons, Brian.

It is.

Obviously, Notre Dame joined into a part, join the ACC for most of their sports back in 2014 is the first year that that was the case.

And that's back when they started a partnership with the ACC where they play a minimum of five games a year against the ACC.

And, you know, Notre Dame has always done well against the ACC, Trevor.

But one of the things that signaled their emergence as a football power, or at least the team that was on the verge of it, is when they got to that period of time where they really started to kind of dominate the league.

And that was especially true from, you know, obviously 2018 and really 2017 on to the following years,

where they were really able to dominate.

And we're going to kind of go through those years. But I think that getting back to that is important for Notre Dame in this era of a 12-team

because it's going to be very important for seating.

There may be some years of Notre Dame has a couple losses overall, that if they

dominate the ACC, it's going to help them kind of maybe get in over that second ACC team,

things like that. So I think that, you know, having success against the ACC and having as many

games of the ACC does help Notre Dame.

And not just from a scheduling standpoint, but you have a gauge, a consistent gauge of four to five games a year where you can say, okay, we saw this team against this league and they dominate this league compared to how some other teams in the league might have dominated teams in that league.
