Rude, the most reliable heating and air conditioning products in the DMV. And welcome on to the show, former NFL offensive coach, offensive coordinator and play caller here in Washington. Scott Turner is with us on Grant and Danny. We want to get some insight into the combine. Scott, how's it going? Good to catch up with you again. Doing great, guys. Thanks for having me on. Yeah, our pleasure. So let's get some info on the combine. I want to start with the schedule and just the behind-the-scenes part of this. So you've been in these meetings. You know what it's like. How many players might a team be actually meeting with at the combine and how do they divvy it up?

0:38.5

Is the offensive staff in one room and the defensive staffs in another and the head coach

0:42.2

and GM go back and forth or the only the offense or the defense is meeting at certain times?

0:46.4

Like how does that work?

0:47.9

No, so basically how it works is there's a suite.

0:53.0

So like, you know, the suites the stadium where people will go

0:55.5

you know the people that pay big money to watch the games so each team has their own

0:59.6

suite and they'll have food in there or whatever and at night everyone gets a 20-minute

1:05.2

schedule these interviews ahead so these are called the formal interviews and I

1:09.6

think I'm wrong. It's

1:11.1

somewhere between like 45 and so. It might be 60 that you get the schedule. And normally it gets

1:16.0

split up pretty evenly between offensive and defensive players. And the way this schedule

1:20.3

works is like the kickers come in the first day. And then the next day is like quarterback

1:25.8

receivers. And the next day is, or quarter to tight ends. And then the next day is like quarterback receivers and the next days or quarter

1:27.8

through the tight ends and then the next days they're running back in the offensive alignment so

1:30.8

they kind of come in on different days so like Tuesday um tonight will be the first night of the

1:37.3

formal interviews and i'm not 100 percent i'm a little off on my details but like so it'll

1:42.6

just be offensive players.

1:44.8

So, like, the offensive players will be in there first before the defensive players.

1:51.9

So, like, as an OEC is an example.

1:54.3

So just, I'll use this year's schedule as an example, Scott, just to give the details.
