Today, Christopher Nolan talks about directing the new film Oppenheimer,

about the man who's known as the father of the atomic bomb, J. Robert Oppenheimer.

You come to film the scenes where we're looking from all over the time as point of view,

we're experiencing the news of the bombings coming through, change the world forever.

Whether we like it or not, we live in Oppenheimer's world, and we always will.

And we'll also hear from writer and humorist R. Eric Thomas.

His new book of essays is called,

Congratulations, The Best Is Over.

In it, Thomas explores what it's like to move back to his hometown of Baltimore as a middle-aged man.

It's a place he felt a lot of emotional pain in, and memories he didn't want to revisit.

But then he realized,

Okay, if I'm not letting Baltimore be new, then why should I get to be new in this city?

And later, Maureen Corrigan reviews the new novel by James McBride.
