Welcome friends to the Buck Sexton Show. Great to have you here as you know, it is debate

night, which is perhaps only going to be excelled by election night in terms of how

friends eat all the political commentary gets around this because the first debate

I think is the one that everyone really anticipates. I know there are a few more, but come on,

come on, who really cares? Right, we all know the first debate is going to set the tone.

The other ones will be interesting too. And the expectation is that tens of millions

of Americans will be watching tonight as Joe Biden and Donald Trump square off. You

can pretty much skip all the post game wrap up stuff because there's no way in this

political climate. Anyone is going to be brought to the other side by this performance.

No one who has a job in media or in commentary is suddenly going to grow a conscience and

think, yeah, okay, Joe Biden is a buffoon. I was wrong, right? That's never going to happen.

And there's absolutely no way that anyone after four years of Trump being president and

thinking that he did a good job, they're going to say, okay, he was a little sloppy tonight

with some facts or some parts of this debate, so I no longer support Trump. So that's not

going to happen. So no one publicly is going to come away from this with a different point

of view, I think, and what they came into it. Publicly, I mean, no one in the commentary

it, right? Nobody who makes a living doing this stuff. And that then leaves us with the

poll I said today was that 14% of likely voters, they think are still undecided at this

point. I believe it's less than that. I think that's a high number. But let's just say
