What does it mean to love our enemies?

When we think of Christ called love our enemies, we often think of work rivals or political

opponents.

It's not easy to love those enemies, but it's also not impossible.

What does it mean to love evil doers, especially in times of war, evil and violence?

We respect Breakprotesters arrested for standing up to Putin.

To pity teenagers who are conscripted into a fight, they neither saw it nor understand.

But are we really called to love Vladimir Putin and his cronies, or the Russian troops rejoicing

in their conquest, or the talking heads in Moscow calling that the war expand into Eastern

Europe?
