Quite frankly, watching both baseball teams, I mean, am I shocked at where they are? No.

Am I ready to fire, you know, Aaron Boone? Am I ready to fire Brian Cashman or are ready to fire Carlos Mendoza? No. I mean, we have about what, 65, 67 games to go here the rest of the season. Why they push the All-Star game so far into the regular season is beyond me. Well, I mean, it's what 90 games. You're talking nine games. Yeah, but it's not the halfway point. It's past the halfway point, just a little bit, though. I'm a big halfway point guy. You like the way.

I like it to be a halfway point, and I'd like it to reflect the real all-stars.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

You know, that kind of thing.

Right.

But, you know, and I do like the All-Star game. I know you don't really care about it. No. And I know that there was a budding controversy because of something that Juan Soto said.

And yeah, he makes, it makes a lot of money.

But the point being is that a lot of these guys' contracts, number one, they want to be known as an All-Star. I think it's actually an embarrassment that Juan Soto is not an All-Star for himself. Like, wait a minute, I'm the highest paid player in baseball history. And I had a great June. I've had a good start to my July, and I'm not an All-Star.

That's an embarrassing thing for him.

I mean, there is a level of pride that is associated with becoming an All-Star.

Then on top of that, as he unfortunately brought to light, there are bonuses.

And $100,000 to him is like a drop in a bucket, you know, but still,

nonetheless, it's the pride factor of not being selected. And I think really for him, the embarrassment

of not being selected. Well, yeah, especially like you said. I mean, all the offseason was about

Juan Soto, highest paid player in baseball, and he gets off to the slow start.

And then finally, there he is with this historic June.

And he's thinking, hey, this is it now.

Now I'm going to be an all-star and it doesn't happen.

So I can understand that part of it, the embarrassment.

Obviously, the bonus stuff is not something I can comprehend with the salary that he's going to have guaranteed for the rest of his career.

But yeah, I mean, the way that the fan looks at the All-Star game in 2025 and the way the player looks at the All-Star game in 2025 is certainly different.
