doing that now is because it's the summer months.

People are busy, people are off on vacation

and taking a little bit of time off.

And we thought, let's give some of the team a break

and do a compilation episode.

And I will just do a little intro here and get us going on this

And if you're like most artists, you have big dreams for your career.

And perhaps you want to launch a personal project or you want to table an event or you even want to quit your day job and start illustrating full time.

Now, these goals, they're within your reach, but how do you know

if you're ready to make the jump? So that's what we're going to talk about today. And I just want to

dig into that a little bit before we get into the clips. First things first, you want to look for

neutral indicators of success. And just because your mom loves your art, doesn't mean that it's going to sell enough to

pay the bills. So before you cut out other sources of income, prove that your art has an audience

willing to buy it. Prove that you can get the clients that you need. Prove that you've really got

the moxie to make it out there by already landing several children's books

with a publisher or a couple children's books with a publisher or you've got an agent who's

very interested in you or you've fully funded a couple kick starters but you need to have some
