And if you ask anyone who reads, and especially anyone who enjoys a great mystery,

they will probably agree.

I'll leave her bio to your own discovery, but I will mention that she wrote 66

detective novels and 14 large short story collections. And the reason we're

able to bring her stories to you now is because her first ones just hit the public domain this year.

It has taken me a while to get in gear as I've been studying videos trying to get the feeling for how her stories are portrayed and just how her main

detective character thinks his name being Urquille Poirot. And yes I checked and

that's how his name is usually pronounced. So hold back that review saying I'm not

pronouncing his name correctly until you've checked it out yourself.

Poiro is an English speaking gentleman with French and Belgian roots, and you'll get to meet him soon.

This short story titled The Adventure of the Egyptian Tomb takes place upon the discovery

of the Tomb of Tutankaman by Lord Carnavan, an expedition famous

for being plagued by a series of tragic coincidences which led many deposit that those

involved had been the victim of an ancient Egyptian curse.

The period was one at which the late Victorian and early 20th century fascination with the

occult aspects of Egyptian culture and its archaeological and spiritual

afterlife was at a fever pitch. No doubt just as you listeners are to have me

end this introduction and get on with the story.
